Julian for the day

We decided to head to Julian for the day. It is about an hour and a half away from us. We wanted to go pick apples and be in the crisp fall air. It is up in the "mountains" so to speak.
Anyways, it definitely wasn't like the Utah and Idaho fall's that we are use to, but it was a fun "first" family out since having Kali. It was just nice to get away. It didn't even seem like we were still in Cali. Julian is an old mining town. They had this little place right outside of the town that was set up as if it were still a mining town. After digging for "gold", playing in the hay, feeding the goats, seeing a picked over pumpkin patch, trying to wash clothes we headed to a little pie shop for apple pie. Brett and the kids loved it so much that we order a whole pie to bring home. It was a nice relaxing day.

Outside the "MOM" apple pie shop.

This is where the kids mined.

The kids loved playing in the hay barrels.

This is the old barn were the goats and other animals live.

Aubrey trying to wash clothes.

The poor pumpkin patch was so pick over. We should have come a week earlier. Oh, well. We loved it regardless.

That is such a precious picture of you and Kali trying to feed the goats! She's a person already! My boys have a flight jacket like Braden's! Fly Navy! :) So nice to see your family!

I'm so happy you painted Kali's toes. That just made me smile. It looks like everyone is doing well--the kids are looking so grown up. It feels like forever since we've seen you guys. (because, well, it has been forever!)
