We finally made it to Sea World!

We finally made it to Sea World. We have almost been here three months, and we just went on Monday. (This was Brett's only day off until next Tuesday. We decided we had better do something really fun.) We kept thinking we were going to go, but we always ended doing something different. Mostly we ended up going to the beach. There is just too much fun stuff here to do:). ( Brett took this picture of Shamu. He got an awesome shot.)
The girls wore there swim suit because we sat in the soak zone. Unfortunately, Shamu didn't get them wet. We'll have to sit closer next time:) I am sure they will get their fair share of getting wet from Shamu.

We went to the "haunted lighthouse". We got 4d class. It was a cute show. The girls got scared, but the had fun with the glasses.

The girls were trying to imitate the great white sharks.
There was this polar bear cave, and Brett kept trying to take the girls in it. They had this "scary" bear growl. Well, Brett thought it was so funny because he got the girls so scared they both started crying. Funny dad.

I know this is a silly picture to post, but I had to document this because our picnic was one of my highlight of the day. We sat at some tables that overlooked the bay. There was this peaceful music playing and the whole family was quiet (because their mouths were full). Anyways, it is hard to describe, but it is one of the moments when I am so thankful to be who I am. It was such a fun day spending it with my cute family. The girls and Brayden were so good all day. I didn't think they would like it so much. We ended up staying for Shamu Rocks, which is a night show of Shamu and then fireworks.
Brayden is trying to drive us to Sea World:0) Isn't he getting so big and cute! He can sit up so well now.

We actually went to the beach last weekend. I have a couple friends in the ward who still want me to have a good month even if my husband isn't around much. They invited us to the beach, and I couldn't say no to something fun. Anyways, it is always funnier when Brett comes with us, but we still had a good time.

7. Who is taller? He is by about 5 inches
8. Who sings better? For sure me:) He doesn't even sing, so it not hard to be better than him.

10. Whose temper is worse? Mine is. I asked Brett who he thought was worse, and he just laughed and said "are you serious?'' There really is no question . He is very even tempered.

Aubrey in the water

I haven't quite figured out this blog thing. I had this picture in our last post, and then I edited it, and some how Aubrey's picture got taken out. I couldn't figure out how to put it back in, and since it is past midnight I think I had better just call this good for now. I had to make sure this made it on the blog because about two weeks ago Aubrey wouldn't even get near the ocean. She loves it now.

Fun at Coronado

Poor Brayden! He looks a little annoyed that I am letting his sister take him down the slide. They on the other hand think it is so fun.

I decided that Aubrey and Brayden and I would take an outing to the temple while Brynn was in school. Aubs isn't into taking pictures, so this is as good as it get. (Notice the spit coming out of her mouth).

We went out to Coronado on Sunday with a few family in our ward to hear a Navy band play in the park, and have a picnic. It was so great. They have different free concerts every Sunday, and lucky we went when it was a Navy band. You can kind of see the band if you look behind the girls in the picture with the flag. After we went and watch the sunset at the beach. It was sooo beautiful. Brett and I tried to pretend we were a "young couple" in love. (Well we are still in love, just not young:) We tried to tell the girls not to get wet because it was Sunday, but you can see they listened real well. We tried to really enjoy this last weekend together. I may not be posting to many fun things for a while because Brett start his trauma surgery rotation tomorrow. Hopefully, we all survive. At least we had such a fun month together while he had an easy rotation.

We spent timing trying to get our house a little cleaner. The girls love it when I mop. They like to "ice skate mop" which is they take paper towels and follow me around. They think it is the funnest thing. I think it great. Pretty soon they can be mopping all by themselves:) That will be great because I really don't like mopping.

We are keeping busy

Today was Brynn's first day of preschool. She said she had a great time. The teacher said she did so good. She brought home lots of colored pictures, which is her favorite thing to do. She even colored a picture for Aubrey. It was cute because one of Brynn's big concern about starting school was that she won't get to be with Aubrey. She was worried what Aubrey would do in the Y care without her. ( I guess Brynn lift Aubrey up to get drinks and helps her get things at the YMCA child care center). Lucky Aubrey was fine without her today, although she kept saying she missed Brynn. Aubrey actually start her own little school today. It is just a once a week little mom and tot craft and sing time little group, but I think it is good for Aubrey to feel like she has something to do also.

We went to the beach with our ward for family night to roast s'mores. We went there in our clothes because I didn't think the kids would want to swim at night, but all the other kids were in swimming. I was talking to a friend and I look up and Brynn was in up to her head with her clothes on, even Aubrey was in the water. (Usually even when we take Aubrey in her swimsuit she doesn't get wet because she is scared of the ocean). Anyways, lucky I brought PJ to change into. The girls loved the s'mores. I am not sure if you can see from the pictures, but they got s'mores everywhere. FUN TIMES!

This is Aubrey's first pair of boots. One of my running friends from Arizona got these for her little girls last year. When I saw them again this year I had to get them for Aubrey. She looks so cute as a little cowgirl. She wore them to church, but it was a sad day because after church she had an accident. Her new boots got all wet.

This captures only a little of how beautiful it was. Lucky it wasn't a long hike because Brynn got pretty tired. Even Aubrey got tired, and she was on our backs the whole time. Hiking is a whole new experience with three children, ( but I think I would have to say everything is a whole new experience with three).

Here is a cute pictures of my handsome boys. I am a lucky girl!
We went on a family hike with our friends the Spurgiezs. It was so beautiful. We hiked down to the ocean. I have done alot of beautiful hikes in Utah, but I have never hiked by the ocean. It is breath taking.

We love it when dad doesn't have call on the weekends

Today was our first family bike ride since Brayden has joined our family. We only went about a mile, but that was good enough for our family. We had to climb a hill at the beginning. Brynn got quite tired, but she didn't stop. It was cute because Aubrey was cheering her along from the stroller.
After our little ride we stopped off at the park.
The kids could play at the park for hours. We had to finally rap things up so we could go home and have our traditional Sunday meal, grilled chicken, fruit, and salad. (Thanks to Brett's parent for starting this tradition.)
It was really just a great weekend being able to hang out as a family. I really have to enjoy my weekends with Brett because I only have 2 more until he starts trauma surgery, which is call every third night again.

We went to the beach on Saturday. Brynn and Brett had a good time boogie boarding while Aubrey played in the sand. Brayden just took a long nap. It was a beautiful, fun, non stressful day at the beach.

We started our weekend off by going on a trolley ride around Balboa park. Then the kids played at the park outside of the zoo. After that we went to Burger King because Brynn really wanted to get a Simpsons happy meal. ( I couldn't handle the thought of eating there, so I ran across the street and got me and Brett some yummy Thai food).

Night at the ballpark

We went to our first Padre's baseball last night with some of our friends from our ward. It was so fun. The kids had cotton candy for the first time, and I think that was there highlight of the evening.

Brayden is getting so big!

Brayden will be six months on Sunday. He is learning to drink out of a sippy cup. He is also loving eating table food now. Brynn and Aubrey love it also. They always want to help. I think they think he is like one of there dolls.
